Information vs Transformation

Diet books, nutrition articles, doctors (clinical nutritionists) they all tell us the rules (first person plural to make it look like they are part of your journey):
“we don’t eat sweets in the evening/morning/except Sundays”,
“drink (more) water”,
“practice sports x times a week”.
All these pieces of information are merely actions that we should take to get results …
We don’t need more   i n f o r m a t i o n. What we lack is  t r a n s f o r m a t i o n.

Most of my clients know these rules … better than me sometimes. The problem is that we don’t get to implement these things. Why can’t we stop watching tv/surfing on facebook and do some physical exercise? Why is it so hard to quit coffee/sugar/smoking? Why don’t we cook/laugh/sleep/relate as if our life depended on it?

My answer: because we try to change the actions when we should focus on changing our thoughts, beliefs and the needs that have triggered them.
